  what have you learned since leaving ?

  since leaving the jw religion,what can you say that you have learned about life/people in a positive way that you probably would have never experienced.

  if you had remained a witness ?.

  When you think you have all the answers and "the Truth" you stop looking, anything that challenges that perception is dismissed using whatever method and resoning that works at the time.

  Since leaving I have seen that as JWs we knew nothing at all except a narrow, conditioned and fake worldview imposed on us from the propaganda spewing from the WTS. We didnt know how to think as it was all done for us, only what we were supposed to think and feel.

  Learning to think for myself is the greatest freedom and one I will never give up for anything.

  Once you see it for the mind control cult it is, there is no going back.

  the new new world translation translates jeremiah 29:10 as follows:.

  10 for this is what jehovah says, when 70 years at babylon are ful?lled, i will turn my attention to you, and i will make good my promise by bringing you back to this place.. the official watch tower society teaching is that by the end of the 70 years, the jews were back in judea, and that their actual arrival in judea marks the end of the "70 years".

  for the history of the tie, see also cravat.regardless of the fact that the definition of the necktie in most dictionaries states "a large band of fabric worn around the neck under the collar and tied in front with the ends hanging down as a decoration", its history says a lot more.

  men have always found it necessary to tie something around their necks.

  a newly minted atheist, she uses her youversion bible app to try to persuade people away from the christianity she grew up in.. .

  i know of a lot of atheists who have come to their nonbelief by actually reading the bible rather than just the fluffy stories they choose to tell you about in church, she said.

  reading the full story with all its contradictions and violence and sexism, it should make you think, is this really what i believe in?

  I studied and read the bible a great deal while fading as I wanted to give it every chance to prove itself, ... it didnt.

  For me, bible study = atheism.

  Life after death OR Consciousness after death?

  if we don't understand why and how consciousness exsist now, how do we know it doesn't continue after death?

  can consciousness survive the death of the body?

  If you survive death then what is the point of your body in the 1st place?

  (awaits unprovable mumbo jumbo about being tested by god etc etc)
